daniel craig james bond actor starred in the 2006 movie, Casino Royale, one of the great movies in the franchise.  Before Bond, Craig has been more recognized for his character actor roles.  But since Bond, he has illustrated that a character actor first, and then an action star next, can happen.  So instead of having the dilemma of being recognized first as an action star that must prove his acting prowess in "smaller character films," afterwards, Craig has taken and been given the opposite road.
