Language.
Recent Forgeries is a
collection of photos, paintings, and poems. There are pictures of
his son, a picture of a room in his home, and pictures of his travels.
Coincidence of Memory is in a similar spirit and format as Recent Forgeries.
On both, these two books as
a whole are truly interesting and they do make you stop and take notice
and apply what you see and read in your own thinking--of taking the time
to really stop and "see" whether good or bad in your own
mind. A great example of this is the photograph on page 13 in Coincidence
of Memory. The title is Ventura #2, 2002. I've had many
instances in my daily life where I have noticed an image like in this
photograph, and how bright, clear, and beautiful it was. The
photograph is of bare, tree branches with a blue sky reflected on what
looks like a hood of a car or window.
