If you belong to a church, club, military service, or any kind of community, there is a good chance you may be able to join bereavement support groups. Also, try calling your county, state and other local government agencies who may be able to direct you further to more non-profit social services. Family and friends, who listen, can also help. You know which ones they are.
Or if you like the Internet, there are many ways to share online. Some sites are regional, or statewide, and you may be able to find groups in your area. For example, try a search for “grief support group” and then include your “state” or “city.” Depending on your preference, you can simply share online only or you can go out and meet with groups locally.
