came out of the capabilities of the computer, software programs
and the Internet. These provided the foundation that made
it possible for the creation, marketing and purchase of ebooks.

They are everywhere now (2008)
but when this site was started (2000), they were not as common.
Even Oprah shared that one of her favorite things is the Kindle, Amazon's wireless reading device.
First, ebooks were downloaded
online and now there is a device to store them so you can take
literally hundred of books with you without the extra baggage
necessary to carry them, i.e., traditionally hard-bound books.
