Russell Crowe
appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday, May 25,
2005. So far, every
time Russell Crowe shows up on these shows, they are always very
entertaining. Not only
can he communicate well in his movies and music, he can also speak clearly in
these shows, something we fans wonder about
when we see actors as themselves.
He seems to find himself in the middle of things in these
shows. He had to learn how to ride a Segway. He had to hold a snake wrapping around his arms.
And on the May 25th show, he attempts to touch the
shell of a
“snapping turtle” near the neck area to get it to open its
mouth. It's good the turtle does not use its peripheral
vision. Unlike the turtle that would not open its mouth, Russell Crowe
bit a stick to
measure the strength of his bite. Leno jumped up like a soccer
dad when he beat Russell in this biting contest. Good to
see excitement doesn't disappear over the years!

Gas-Powered
Cars, National Parks and The NBA Playoffs
If you have been watching the NBA playoffs, you
may have noticed that GMC was advertising a car called,
Denali. This may seem like a happy joining of commerce and
environment, but it is more in keeping with the spirit of a playoff
game.
As Star Wars has
proven, "The
Force" is a great power that we like to see on our oil-fed
cars. Consider
other names such as Sequoia, Tahoe, and Yukon.
Don’t be surprised if you see a car called Yellowstone, one
day.
