This is a good movie and is
worth taking your kids to see. Many of the kids during the earlier half
were giggling over and over. Maybe they were having a good day, or
simply that the movie actually made them laugh.
However, no more giggles
were heard during the more "serious" latter half--except for the
comic relief scenes of the moose brothers.
For me I appreciated the
wonderful visuals of faraway shots of the bear in the ice. One thing about Disney artists--they are
truly a talented group and their beautiful drawings are appreciated.
Also, when this kind of work can make you cry, then their time and your
time isn't wasted.
There are many themes in the
movie as portrayed by the three brothers, and the spiritual beliefs of
their tribe, and even if you figure out who
caused the death of the cub's mother early on, you are glad to find how
this is resolved. The surprise, however, is the decision of the
youngest brother at the end.
