Chicken
Little Movie Review
Is was funny, romantic,
and has some fun with "popular, ingrained cultural things," like
the King Kong movies or War of the Worlds and the song by REM, “It’s
the end of the world as we know it, I feel fine."
The fish is shown at the spire on top of a building swatting
planes. Pig says, “It’s
war of the worlds” out there.
Adam West as the voice
of Hollywood’s version of Chicken Little as Ace.
That was funny.
We’ve all heard these
songs, or at least dates us, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Ain’t
No Valley Low Enough" and "I will survive"—movies (even
animated ones) can have a powerful way of making clichés of really good
songs.
All these things that
make-up the culture these movies are made for shows how once in a while,
let’s laugh a little at who we are.
More comedy:
The big-voice with little body father. The
falling panel. Dodge Ball
game. Fox and his feminine
side.
Overall, a wonderful
movie for you and your kids.
