Writing Contests Competitions

There are many kinds of Writing Contests Competitions.

One kind that is becoming more popular includes screenwriting contests.  Here is a good book to start with and to check the contests listed on this book before entering, because some no longer exist.  Also, watch out for scams.  Erik Joseph's How To Enter Screenplay Contests and Win!

Also, if you are already attending college, check out your school's writing contests.  For sure the English Department has a contest.  You may find out that's the department where you belong.
