few years ago (2002), when I was researching about screenwriting,
there were not as many screenwriting consultants as there are now.
A
good thing to check would be the bio of the consultant and of
course, compare fees. Also, find out for sure what services
you are receiving for the fee. Some will give you feedback
in various ways such as reading your entire script or a synopsis
or only a certain amount of pages. Decide what you really
want to get out of the consultation before paying.
You
can also meet consultants at pitchfests should you attend one.
