screenwriting query letter

There are many features of a screenwriting query letter:  

• Short--preferably one page, two pages maximum--keep in mind that those in the industry are short on time--so pack into the letter as much as you can.  

• Use action words.  Avoid "is," or "has," or the like.

• Be professional.  Make the letter look professional.  Greet and close in standard format and thank the person for their time.

• Use a name, not a company when making the salutation.

• Finally, in today's tech world, email queries are becoming more commonplace.
